About Roy Cain

Roy Cain was born and raised in post-war London. An unusual occurrence in early life led him to take an interest in the dramatic arts when he began to study ballet, Spanish Flamenco dancing and singing, which has continued throughout his life.

As a qualified teacher he taught in a variety of authorities around the North London area including Barnet, Essex, Hertfordshire and Waltham Forest before accepting a headship in Hertfordshire. He still maintains an interest in teaching and is a popular supply teacher in his local area, when time permits. Whilst most of his working life has been in the education service he has also had experience of working in the Metropolitan Police Force and as a Business Management Consultant and Trainer.

In recent years Roy has extended his business interests to include Management, Leadership and INSET Training in schools, the popular Rocking Chair Tales and more recently, after many enquiries and much encouragement, 'What Comes Next?' - Creative Writing Workshops for Primary School Pupils which has now become part of this site.

He is married with four grown sons and currently enjoys the opportunity to visit regularly with his eleven grandchildren, both in the UK and also in the USA.
